LOCATION
The Society headquarters is at the Stephenson Railway Museum, Middle Engine Lane, West Chirton, North Shields, NE29 8DX which is adjacent to the Silverlink Retail Park. This park is situated at the junction of the A19 & A1058 roads. Fingerposts on the roundabout junction show the final stages of the route.

Percy Main, North Shields town centre and Ferry (connections to South Shields),
Service 315 Monday to Saturday: Newcastle Haymarket - Battle Hill - NTRailway - then anticlockwise round Norham Road - North Shields Centre - Tynemouth - Cullercoats - Whitley Bay - Monkseaton - New York - NTRailway and back to Newcastle via outward route.
Service 316 Monday to Saturday: Newcastle Haymarket - NTRailway - then clockwise round New York - Monkseaton - Whitley Bay - Cullercoats - Tynemouth - North Shields Centre - Norham Road - NTRailway and back to Newcastle.
Service 318 Monday to Saturday: Ashington - Bedlington - Cramlington - NTRailway - Silverlink
Service 336 Daily: Wallsend - Battle Hill - NTRailway - NT General Hospital
Service 337 Monday toSaturday: Wallsend - NTRailway - Cullercoats -Whitley Bay
TRAIN
Metro train from Central Railway station, Newcastle or other Metro stations to Percy Main, then North Tyneside Steam Railway train from Percy Main Village to the Museum, Middle Engine Lane (summer Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays only).

From the West or East - A1058 Coast Road and take the A19 slip road to roundabout*.
From the North or South - A19 road to just north of Tyne Tunnel and take the A1058 slip road to roundabout*.
*On the roundabout take the exit for ‘Silver Link Retail Park’ and follow brown route signs.
